Dietz Stadium was originally built as a football stadium for the local high school, but was repurposed to serve as the home of the revived Kingston Colonials, a Class B Baseball team.
After the team folded in 1951[1], the stadium was purchased by the town of Kingston and has served as a high school football stadium since.
The team served as the home stadium for the short lived Hudson Valley Highlanders of the NAFL. The team only lasted the 2008 season.
